Loving Courageous Heart

Adapted and inspired by the writings of St-Peter Canisius. Found in the Breviary Vol. III p. 145-148

    May the Lord be generous in making your hearts overflow with love for one another and for all peoples, and may he confirm your hearts in holiness. May our Lord inspire your heart with courage.
1Thes 3:12-13; 2Thes 2:16-17

Prayer
Lord, please confirm my heart in holiness. Give me a patient, loving heart overflowing with love for everyone, at all times and in every circumstance.
Inspire my heart with courage Lord.
Give me Lord, a loving, courageous heart.

    In I Thessalonians 2:13 – 3:13 Paul, as he expresses his friendship for the Thessalonians, teaches us about this beautiful gift of friendship and the love we are to have for one another.

    "May God himself, who is our Father, and our Lord Jesus make our path to you a straight one! And may the Lord increase you and make you overflow with love for one another and for all, even as our love does for you. May he strengthen your hearts, making them blameless and holy before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his holy ones.
